Effective 1 August 2026
Privacy Notice
Lattice Essay Prize collects only the information needed to administer the 2026 competition: account email, student name, school, grade, city, parent or guardian contact and consent, payment status, essay metadata, uploaded files, reviewer assignments, scores, and operational security logs.
How information is used
Information is used to verify eligibility, process fees, receive submissions, conduct anonymous review, communicate competition updates, prevent duplicate or fraudulent entries, issue results, and respond to support requests. Payment card details are handled directly by Stripe and are not stored by Lattice.
Minors and publication
A parent or guardian must consent to entry. If a student receives a category prize or distinction, the student’s name, school, essay title, category, and award may be published on the results page. The full essay will be published only with separate permission.
Access and retention
Judges receive only anonymous essay information. Administrative access is restricted by role. PDFs and payment proofs are stored in private Supabase buckets. Competition records are retained for up to 24 months after results are published, unless a longer period is required to resolve a dispute, detect misconduct, or comply with law.
Your choices
To request access, correction, or deletion of personal information, email guanzhihao1221@163.com. Some data may need to be retained while an entry is active or after an award decision.
Service providers
The website uses Vercel for hosting, Supabase for authentication, database and private storage, Resend for transactional email, and Stripe for USD card payments. Each provider processes data under its own security and privacy terms.
